Full Description
Remains of a section of the railway which ran between Brechin and Montrose. Built by the Aberdeen Railway company in the 1840s, it was sold to the Caledonian Railway Company in 1894. This in turn was absorbed into the London, Midland and Scottish (LMS) railway in 1923. The line closed to passengers in 1952, and to freight in 1981. This section included a number of signal posts.
