Full Description
Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. This shows a C-plan steading with a separate building at the southwest corner of the court, with a rectangular building and garden enclosure to the south. To the southwest, on the opposite side of the road, is a large mill building with a lade along its south side, running from a millpond to the northwest. A small building stands to the southeast of the pond. The pond is no longer shown as waterfilled on the 2nd edition map. By that time the steading court had been largely infilled and there had been additions to the steading on the north and east sides. The mill has since been largely removed, and new buildings have been added north of the steading.
