Full Description
Former brick and tile works depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows the Puggieston Tile works comprising two long L-plan ranges and four smaller buildings. These had been significantly altered or replaced by the time of the 2nd edition map, by which time it was a brick and tile works and clay pits are also shown, to east and south. On the 3rd edition it is named as the Montrose Brick and Tile works and there had been further expansion to the east. Later in the 20th century it became the Angus Cast Stone Works. The pits appear to have been infilled.
