Full Description
Remains of a farmstead, which stands on a low rise on the east side of the bog that forms the source of Petrie's Burn. Depicted on the OS 1st edition as an L-plan range with rectangular building and garden enclosure to the southeast. The rectangular building is shown as unroofed on the 2nd edition map: a small structure had been added to the south side of the enclosure. The remains were recorded by RCAHMS, 19 June 1991. IThey now comprise two buildings standing to wallhead height around three sides of a yard. On the southeast side of the yard there is a cottage, while to the northwest and southwest there is an L-shaped range comprising of an open-fronted cartshed and byres.
