Full Description
House and gardens depicted on historic OS maps. The 2-storey classical designed house, is dated 1756, with a pedimented central bay, a back wing forming a T-plan, ashlar built with a slated roof. Within the east wing, the vaulted cellar is the remains of 16th century house. The house has now been converted into separate residential properties, made up of Nos. 1 - 4. Within the grounds of the house are the North Lodge (NO64SW0148) and the West Gates, the South Lodge, the former walled garden (NO64SW0149), South Lodge and Orchard Grove. The building east of the Letham house has been altered and is now known as Gable End, and Primrose Cottage has been built in the garden grounds north of Letham house.
Period Notes
Dated 1756. Within the east wing are vaulted cellar remains of the 16th century house.
