Full Description
Remains of a pillbox. A brick and concrete type 27 pillnox was recorded in 2000 in the sand dunes southeast of Redcastle Farm. It is also visible on an RAF aerial photograph taken in 1941 whic also show a line of barbed-wire fencing on the beach in front. Coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009 recorded partially buried brick and concrete demolition material covering an area of 15m which could be the remains of the pillbox. It is not clear whether they are in situ or have been dumped.
