Full Description
Source of water supply. A granite slab circa 1m long has been set on edge at the point where the water emerges from the ground. A channel leading from here to Middyke is shown on the OS 1st edition map. The channel is now largely dry. To the west (NO 51077 90788) a large granite boulder showing chisel marks which has been split and wedged open has been suggested to have been possibly been intended for this supply. Recorded by Birse Community Trust.
