Full Description
A rectangular building with a sheet metal roof stands to the southeast of Auchabrack. On the outside of the east-facing wall is a drive-shaft, probably for an engine, which was located in a now-removed lean-to that stood against this wall. There is a square opening at the foot of the wall which probably indicates that there was a water wheel prior to the engine. Also the OS map of 1865 depicts a small lade running beside the dyke towards this building, however no wheel-pit is visible suggesting that it may have been infilled.
