Full Description
The remains of a croft stand to the east of Feughside Parish church (NO59SW0073). This was the Schoolmaster's croft, created after the establishment of the Forest School in the church in 1790. The teacher's house was abandoned in 1896, with the teachers thereafter living at a nearby farm and the school closing in 1933. Two rectangular coursed rubble buildings still stand. The western one stands in part to full gable height, but the eastern one is now much reduced. There is a stone walled enclosure south of the buildings, which contains a few apple trees beside the buildings and also ash, holly and cherry trees.
