Full Description
The remains of a farmstead is attached to the southeast boundary dyke at Ballochan. It comprises of a three-compartmented range of buildings, 4m x 17m, two yards and two smaller structures. It is not depicted on the OS map of 1865 but the kink in the dyke is visible, suggesting that it was already in ruins by that date. A boundary stone is marked in the wall to the southeast on later maps but not on the 1865 or 1888 editions.
