Full Description
Remains of shielings which lie within an earlier field system. They consist of a loose group of nine buildings. At the centre is a cluster of five rectangular stone-and turf built footings up to 1m high. They range in size from 4m x 3m up to 9.5m x 4m. To the northwest there is a two-roomed structure 12m x 4m, and to the northeast is a pair of attached rectangular buildings, 5m x 2.5m and 5m x 3m. To the southeast is an oval structure 5m x 4m with an entrance downslope. Its wall is 1.5m thick and up to 0.9m high with a pronounced internal batter.
