Full Description
A wedge-shaped long cairn with steep sides of bare stones. The New Statistical Account (1845) also noted numerous small cairns on the adjacent hill. OS site visit in 1972 noted a few low mounds to the northeast of the long cairn, which were thought to be probable clearance cairns which may be some of the mounds referred to in the earlier source. The exact location and extent of these is unclear, though OS notes a central grid reference of circa NO 595 939.
