Full Description

Bridge, still in use, built in the 18th century. It is a single span, hump-back, segmental-arched bridge over Burn of Garbet, with a flood arch to the east, and is constructed from pink granite rubble with a rubble arch-ring and ridged coping and splayed wing walls. There is a flood arch on the mill side of the bridge. An 1865 account of the parish stated that the bridge was built in 1730 by William Robbie of Arntillie, and that a carved stone carried from the bridge in the 1799 flood bore the inscription: 'William Robbie in Arntillie sometime residenter in Barbadoes hath of his generosity built this bridge in the year 1730.'
