Former manse dating from the earlier 18th century with later wings, steading and walled garden. The OS 1st edition map shows an L-plan manse with attached walled garden to the east,. To the west is a group of buildings, including a long L-plan range with attached horsemill, are arranged around a court. By the time of the 2nd edition, the two buildings on the north side of the steading court had been removed and the building on the east side extended to an L-plan. Current OS maps show the horsemill and western end of the long L-plan range have been removed. The original manse is 2 storey and of 3 bays, built on a rectangular plan, harled with granite dressings. An east wing at right angles was added in the 1790s, and a 2-storey wing with porch added to the south in 1834. The roof is of slate with a stone ridge, stone skews with simple skewputts, harled coped gablehead and ridge stacks with octagonal cans and cast-iron rainwater goods. A near rectangular walled garden adjoins the house to the east, the walls of rubble with rubble coping, and boarded timber gates to the west and south. The walls are swept up behind a replacement lean-to glasshouse to the centre of the north wall. A Pictish stone (NO59NE0052) is built into the garden wall.
