Full Description
Memorial to the crew of Nimrod XV230, killed when the aircraft crashed during operations over Afghanistan in 2005. It is a 14-sided tapering stone pillar with a commemorative tablet inset on the upper, inclined, surface and a segmented base, the 14 sections inscribed with the names of the fallen. The dedication, which includes the regimental insignia, reads " To All Who Bravely Serve Their Country. In Memory Of Crew 3 120 Sqdn RAF Kinloss Tragically Killed During Operations Over Afghanistan On Board Nimrod XV230 on 2nd September 2005. These Fine Men Will Never Be Forgotten'.
