Full Description
Cairns, hut circles and the remains of rig and furrow. The remains of cairns, were recorded by Sherriff in 1982 during field survey. A number of small cairns survive on rough pasture, one cut by the track to the reservoir. Walkover survey by Cameron Archaeology in April 2013 in advance of proposed wind turbines recorded several stone clearance heaps. rig and furrow (3-4m between rigs and surviving up to 0.2m high), hut circles and hut platforms, and the remains of sheepolds (NO57SE0083). A subsequent watching brief in June 1013 along the access track, turbine base and cable trench recorded no archaeological features.
