Full Description

Tower, built in 1826 by the St Andrew's Lodge of Free Masons as a shelter for travellers, still in use. It is a simple rubble-built tower that is circa 25 feet (7.6 metres) high. It is a three stage tower of a telescopic form, with a monastic finial. There is a seat within the lowest stage, and there is a panel above the door with the inscription 'ST. ANDREW'S TOWER ERECTED 1826'.
