Full Description

Two houses built circa 1800. The attached properties are both single-storey with basement, 3-bay, built of ashlar with cherry cocking on the north (principal) elevation, with a central doorway with a cavetto splayed door piece with segment and a headed arcaded fanlight above. Symmetrical windows either side are 12-pane sash and case, with the basement windows partly built up and part modernised. No. 23 has a canted dormer addition on the east side with a piended roof. The west gable is squared rubble with ashlar dressings with a single ground floor window and one blind attic light. The straight skew-gabled slated roof has moulded ends and a moulded eaves course. Chimney stacks are corniced ashlar on both properties west gables.
