Full Description
Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as having a long L-plan range, with an L-plan farmhouse to the east with an attached enclosure. At this time it is named Balhill. On the 2nd edition OS map the long range has been replaced by a large rectangular building. The farmhouse to the east has been extended. Current OS maps show further alterations to the farmhouse, and additional agricultural buildings added to the north-west and south-west. Photographic recording was carried out in December 2020 ahead of proposed demolition of an outbuilding.
