Full Description
Mansion still in use. The principal features - the house and grounds, containing a walled garden to the west, disused quarries to the south-west and the Home Farm to the north - are shown on the OS maps from the 1st edition OS map onwards. The Home Farm has a large pond with sluice to the north-west. The 2nd edition OS map shows that the farm and Mansion have been extended and that there are various smaller buildings to the north of the walled garden. The farmstead has a horsemill. The 2006 map shows that the farmstead has been partially demolished, including the horsemill (the farm has been relocated to the north of the public road) and that the pond has been drained, but its site has not been redeveloped.
