Roman Catholic church, built in 1927, designed by John Wittet, with presbytery added 1930 by RB Pratt. The church is built of coursed granite with contrasting ashlar surrounds and quoins, and slate roof. The nave is of four bays, divided by small buttresses, the doorway with an ogee-shaped lintel, each of the other bays with trefoil headed windows with latticed glazing and some stained glass. The buttresses at each corner of the nave have simple stone pinnacles with finials. The west gable of the nave has a single large pointed-arch window with thick stone tracery and latticed glazing, above which is a small round window, the gable topped by a tall stone cross finial. The chancel is slightly lower, the window also made up of three trefoil headed windows, again with latticed stained glass.. The east gable of the chancel has a single round window to the centre, above which, in the gablehead, is a statue of St Laurence within a corbelled niche. Internal features include the original wooden altar with a back-board and small tabernacle. The stained glass includes a roundel of St Margaret, nativity with saints Columba and Theresa. Photographic recording was carried out in 2018 prior to a new extension.
