Full Description

A LINEAR CONCRETE FEATURE, 0.4m WIDE AND A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 0.3m, EXTENDS FROM THE ESTUARY EASTWARDS INTO THE SEA. METAL WIRE SUGGESTS A WORLD WAR 2 DEFENSIVE ORIGIN. AT THE LANDWARD END, THE FEATURE CONTINUES BENEATH THE MODERN SEA DEFENCES AND TERMINATES AT A STREAM BY SOME ANTI-TANK BLOCKS. Recorded during coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009.
