War memorial comprising a granite block carved with images of the Airedale Terrier and its working relationship with soldiers in World War I. It was carved by Bruce Walker. Richardson and his wide, Blanche, eventually set up the British War Dogs training school in Shoeburyness, Essex, where they trained hundred of dogs for service in both world wars, the school moving to Bulford, Wiltshire. the inscription reads: 'Airedale Terriers also served in war'.
