Full Description
RAILWAY ARCHWAY, APPROXIMATELY 1.2m HIGH, CONSTRUCTED FROM LIMESTONE, CARRYING THE RAILWAY OVER A SMALL STREAM/FIELD SOAKAWAY. THE KEYSTONE IS INSCRIBED WITH A BENCHMARK. THE ARCH HAS BEEN INCORPORATED WITHIN A MORE MODERN CONCRETE SEA DEFENCE. Recorded during coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009.
