Full Description
Remains of chapel, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as a rectangular chapel in ruins. It was probably built in the early-18th century, becoming disused in the early-19th century. Only the foundations remain, measuring circa 84 feet by 18 feet (26 metres by 5 metres).
Period Notes
A letter from Rev J Moir to Bishop Forbes of Brechin in 1863 stated it was on the site from 1717 and was pulled down in 1747. It was then re-erected in 1763 and became disused in circa 1811. In 1853, Jervise gave the date it was pulled down as 1745. It was listed on 15/01/1980.
