Full Description
Well which sits beside the Firmounth Road, an old road over the hills to Glen Esk. Possibly of Celtic origin. Recorded during walkover survey by D Harding. It comprises a spring, near to which is a large flat slab with a loose, small inscribed boulder on top. The inscription takes the form of a Celtic cross and the words 'Well Beloved'.
