Full Description
Ice house, depicted on the 2nd edition OS map of 1888 (labelled 'tank'), dug into a bank alongside an estate road within the Altyre Estate. The entrance is now obstructed and partially closed up by an accumulation of forest detritus.(Recorded by W. A. Bartlam in 2007).
Period Notes
Possibly built around 1834, when the adjacent farm was constructed.
