Full Description
The remains of a circular lime kiln lie immediately west of a track through Glen Girnock. It still stands to about 1.5m in height with the lintel and drawhole still surviving. The kiln has a drawhole on the east side, facing the track. The bowl measures 4.1m in diameter. The kiln is depicted on the OS 2nd edition map. The remains were recorded during walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in May 2025 ahead of proposed woodland planting (NO39SW0087).
