Full Description

Remains of two buildings and an enclosure recorded by RCAHMS Glen Clova survey in 1999. The north-eastern building measures 6.1m by 2m within rubble wall footings 1m thick and up to 0.4m high. It stands on the southwest side of an enclosure. Immediately southwest are the fragmentary remains of the second building, which measures at least 11.6m long. Only one building was observed during walkover survey in 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NO37SW0151). The bracken covered truncated remains measured 3.5m by circa 2.5m, the walls appearing as spread mounds of medium stones. The building had been truncated by a borrow pit for an adjacent forest road.
