Farmstead depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. The 1st edition shows a long range with two rectangular buildings to the south, and enclosures attached to the west and south of the range. The layout is essentially the same on the 2nd edition map, although the southernmost building appears to have been enlarged, and there are five conjoined enclosures linked to the buildings. The smallest, middle building has since been removed and part of the range is shown as unroofed on current OS maps. A house has been added to the east, and the farmstead is named Roineach Mhor on current maps. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in September 2016 by Headland Archaeology prior to the demolition of the long range. The architecture of the buildings suggests the building and enclosures are likely to be 18th or early 19th century. The structure is likely to have been originally built as a dwelling, and over the centuries altered to function as a barn for animals and storage.
