Full Description

Building, pen, rig and bank recorded by RCAHMS Glen Clova survey in 1999. The rig occupies an area of about 150m north-south by 100m, the individual rigs aligned roughly north-northeast to south-southwest. The building is just to the southwest of the rig, between the head dyke and a short length of bank. It measures 8m by 2.1m, the walls reduced to grass-grown stony banks. A pen lies close to the centre of the rig. The site was also recorded during walkover survey in 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NO37SW0151): MM28a records the possible low footing for a building, measuring 6m by 5m. MM28b records the area of rig and furrow, described as aligned west to east, and now standing less than 1m high, the rigs narrow and circa 1.4m between crests. MM79 records a length of curvilinear band, now less than 1m high.
