Full Description

Buildings recorded by RCAHMS Glen Clova survey in 1999. Five buildings are strung out along the remains of a head dyke. The buildings are rectangular in plan, measuring from 4.4m to 6.5m in length within walls reduced to grass-grown footings. Two have two compartments. The head dyke survives as fragmentary sections of stony bank running from the B955 circa 400m to the west and probably continues on the northwest side of the Minrie Burn. The site was also recorded by walkover survey in 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NO37SW0151): MM24a is a two-compartment building measuring 10m by 3.5m, the walls now spread up to 1m. MM24b is a possible building. MM24c is a single compartment building measuring 7m by 4m.
