Remains of a building, sheepfold and an enclosure stand on the west side of Glen Clova on the lower slopes of Cairn Inks, recorded by RCAHMS survey of Glen Clova in 1999.

Remains of a building, sheepfold and an enclosure stand on the west side of Glen Clova on the lower slopes of Cairn Inks, recorded by RCAHMS survey of Glen Clova in 1999. They are all depicted on the (circa 1846 and circa 1888) 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Also recorded during walkover survey in 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NO37SW0151) . MM17a comprises the sub-circular earthwork foundations of a structure, measuring circa 5m by 4.2m, the walls spread to up to 1m wide. MM17b is an irregular drystone enclosure of medium sized field stones. It is degraded and collapsed. in part surviving only as a mound of stones. At the northeast corner is a small integrated building with sharp corners and measuring 5m by 4m. MM17c is a large irregular drystone sheepfold, circa 14m by 23m externally, much degraded with an integrated building at the southeast. This measures 8m by 4m with an entrance at the east end. MM17d comprises the low footings of a sub-rectangular building, now heavily overgrown, measuring circa 6.5m by 4m externally and 5m by 2m internally with a possible entrance on the east side. MM17e is an irregular enclosure, measuring circa 1m by circa 7m, surviving as low earthen banks with occasional protruding large and medium stones.
