Full Description
Remains of a building and enclosure, lying next to the track leading down to a disused sand and gravel quarry south of Buckhood, were recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate. The building measures 9.5 m from north to south x 5.5 m over ruinous stone walls measuring 0.8 m wide and 0.4 m high. The entrance is on the east wall. The remains of the enclosure, measuring 45 m x 23 m with ruinous stony banks, lie to the north. The north side of the enclosure has probably been destroyed by the construction of the road.
