Full Description

Remains of a farmstead, comprising two rectangular buildings with rig and furrow to the south-west were recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate. The farmstead is shown on the 1st edition OS map (1865). The larger building measures 29m from northwest-southeast and is divided into four rooms. A single-roomed structure, measuring 9m from northwest-southeast, x 5.5m overall. An area of rig, 90m x 40m, lies on the southwest-facing slope to the south. The rigs are between 5m and 8m wide and 0.4m high.
