Full Description

Remains of two sub-rectangular buildings and three cairns were recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate. The larger building measures 18m from northwest-southeast x 7m over stony banks standing up to 0.3m in height. A few edge set stones can be seen lining the inside end walls. What may be a second building lies 10m to the south-east. It comprises a sub-rectangular stony platform. Although there are no remains of walls visible, it is thought to be the remains of a small building. Three small cairns, ranging in size from 4m in diameter and 0.3m in height to 5m diameter and 0.4m in height, were noted in the vicinity.
