Full Description
Remains of a farmstead. On the 1st edition OS map it is shown as comprising a rectangular building and two enclosures. By the 2nd edition OS map, only the building, marked as disused, is shown. The remains were recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate. The rectangular building measures 10m from northeast to southwest by 5m externally. The drystone walls are 0.7m wide and 0.8m high and there is an entrance on the south-east. Low stony banks extend from the north and west corners of the building to form a 25m x 25m enclosure. A stone-built sub-rectangular enclosure, 15m x 15m, lies to the south.
