Full Description

Remains of three cairns which were recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate. The largest cairn is grass and heather covered. It measures 7m in diameter and stands some 0.8m in height. A short row of kerb stones are visible along the west side of the cairn whilst there is a small subrectangular depression, measuring 1.5m x 1m, just to the north of the cairn centre. The two smaller cairns to the east, which lie under and adjacent to a track, have no specific features. They measure 3.5m and 5m in diameter respectively and stand up to 0.3m in height.
