Remains of hut-circles and a field system. There are three sets of round houses in a straight line running east west on the side of Craigiemeg Hill. The westernmost is a twin double walled pair similar to the one at Alyth Burn. The outer wall forms an enclosure 29.8m east-west by 17.4m north-south externally. On the north side the area it encloses is cut slightly into the hillside. The internal dimensions of the larger round house are 13.8m north-south by 12.3m east-west. The details, particularly those of the smaller house, were obscured by deep heather. The middle group, 80m to the east, is formed of a pair of simple round houses similar to the pair of round houses at Alyth Burn (where the largest simple round house underlies the twin double walled pair). The larger of the two houses measures about 16m north-south and the smaller measures 9-10m north-south. Details were obscured by deep heather. The east group, 60m east again, is on a largely or entirely natural, flat topped, roundish platform 20m across east-west. When visited on 18 May 1996 it was largely grass covered. On it there are faint traces of what may be two round houses. The plan omits several field walls, some of which seem likely to be prehistoric. The three settlements may represent successive settlements each of similar size or function. One of the buildings, at NO 2045 6804, has a very similar tapered outline to the 'Pitcarmick type' buildings recorded circa 25km to the southwest in Strathardle.
