Full Description
Kirriemuir war memorials, standing within the cemetery. World War I memorial is in the form of a tall rectangular structure, with Ionic columns at each corner supporting the entablature, on which stands a statue of a soldier. Names of those killed are recorded on the faces of the memorial and its base. The memorial was designed by Henry Hutcheon Ltd of Aberdeen and unveiled on 12 August 1923. The World War II memorial sites beside this, and is the form of a low rectangular 'box', with the names of the fallen inscribed around the four sides.
