Full Description
Well, a natural spring, depicted on historic maps. Traditionally the site where St Fergus held open air religious services in the 8th century, before the first church at Glamis was constructed. St Fergus, the patron saint of Glamis is said to have established a ministry here at the beginning of the 7th century, and the well was named after him following his death in 730. Stone walls and slabs have been built up to collect the water.
