Full Description
A 'Cairn of Remembrance', traditionally formed by men mustered for war, each placing a stone here. On the return of the force, each man removed a stone, those remaining indicating the number of casualties. It was surmounted by a flag staff, now gone, for which the cairn top had been rebuilt.
