Full Description

The footings of three buildings and an enclosure lie in an area of woodland, recorded by RCAHMS site visit in 1991. The enclosure and one roofed building are depicted on a 1781 Estate map. The 1st edition OS map shows a rectangular building with small attached enclosure on its west face with a sheepfold to the east. These are depicted on the 2nd edition as ruins. Not depicted on the current edition (2006), and field visit July 2012 as part of a walkover survey ahead of a proposed wind farm noted that the area appeared to have been completely levelled some years previously.
