Full Description

Cottage, built in circa 1850 with later additions. It is a single-storey and attic, three-bay, rectangular-plan cottage, with later extension to rear, which is now subdivided. The building is harled with granite cills. The north-east elevation has an open, gabled timber porch at the centre, with a segmental-arched opening on timber columns with stop-chamfered arrises and cornices, echoing pilasters. Within the gablhead is a shield panel, and there is a cusp-headed timber railing and swept roof. The windows in the flanking bays have small, gabled, slate-hung dormers above, timber gableheads and swept eaves. To the rear is a gabled, en-suite addition with a pronounced astragal at the centre. The roof has grey slates, with purple slates to the porch and rear, and there are gablehead granite stacks.
