Full Description

Remains of an L-shaped stone and turf bank abutting the bank associated with the modern trackway recorded by walkover survey by CFA in 2012 ahead of proposed access track upgrading. It measures 1.5-2m in width and defines an area measuring 10m by 5m. It may be associated with the culvert crossing at this location which comprises drystone wall revetment of the burn under the trackway. A cast iron decorative gate/fence post was recorded nearby, likely to be associated with the 19th or 20th century use of Berryburn Farmstead (NJ04NE0012).
