Full Description

Remains of a drystone dyke recorded during walkover survey carried out by AOC Archaeology in May 2019 ahead of a proposed woodland creation scheme (NO26SE0017). It comprises large rubble capstones over smaller flat coursing stones, and measures up to 0.6m wide spread to 1m, and stands up to 1 m high. The dyke, which encloses a field (as depicted on historic OS maps) is revetted into the hill on the southeast side.
