Full Description

Two groups of small cairns lie to the east of the abandoned farm of Berryburn. To the north of track, in the angle at NJ 0605 4535, are at least six small heather-covered cairns measuring up to 4m in diameter and 0.3m in height. To the southeast is a further group of at least 20 cairns measuring up to 5m in diameter and 0.4m in height. Recorded by the Royal Commission, 4th July 1991. Walkover survey was carried out by CFA in 2012 in connection with proposed windfarm access. The survey identified six heather covered cairns of the northern group. Only one cairn of the southeast group was identified.
