Full Description

Remains of possible shooting butts (two rectangular structures and a stone structure) and two mounds. Three butts were recorded on the east side of Broom Hill during the course of a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland) Ltd in 1994. Walkover survey by Mott Macdonald in March 2022 identified only one possible shooting butt (MM11) at NO2270057024, at the southeast of the previously recorded area, just outwith the forestry plantation.
