Full Description
Remains of a cairn. Shown on the 1st edition OS map, a burial cairn stands on a flat area on the south of Melgam Water, to the north of Torrax Hill. It has been investigated at some stage as it has been trenched on the eastern side and the remains of a central cist is also exposed. Overgrown with heather, it is 13m in diameter and has a maximum height of 1.2m. It lies within a large area of stone clearance heaps (NO25NE0036).
