Full Description

Suspension footbridge spanning the River Dee, built by James Abernethy and Company Ltd, Engineers, Aberdeen. A narrow wire-rope suspension bridge between latticed pylons on granite piers with tapering scissor-braced iron columns (one with cast name plate). It has a sheet metal walkway and scissor-braced iron parapet. Replaced earlier bridge. Also known as Garbh Allt Sheil Bridge.
